GOOGLE NOW!

                                        GOOGLE NOW!

Where am I? How many people are there on the planet? Who shot JR? There are a multiple number of questions you can ask Apple’s iPhone voice controlled personal assistant Siri. He might not be able to answer all of them, but he’ll give it a damn good try (even if we do occasionally spot a touch of sarcasm).

When it first arrived this amazing taste of the future technology once again showed off to the rest of the android world just how advanced Apple really was. But wait a minute, what’s this? We hear a pitter patter of Google feet slyly taking over! That’s right, make way for the all-new Google Now cards!

Ditching Siri’s humor and talking his helpful characteristics to a whole new level, Google gives us a real taste of the future by developing a piece of technology that soon people will potentially not be able to live without.

Google Now currently offers a variety of 10 different cards specific to areas of everyday life you want assistance with. A few of our favorites are:

Sports -Google Now keeps you updated on your favorite sports teams in real time, with live scores and upcoming games. You can even buy game tickets on the fly.

Places – When you’re on the go, Google Now will suggest nearby bars, restaurants, and places of interest.

And Next Appointment – When you have an appointment, Google Now checks traffic so you can know how long it’ll take to get there. You even get a notification for when you should leave.

With a whole load of other automatic helpfulness like Weather, Flights, Currency and Translation.

You might well be thinking ‘yeah alright Googs, but I can kinda do all that already, just download the apps iniit’. And this is true, but you wont get the intuition Google Now offers by using your personal information stored on your phone, nor will it be automatically supplied to you, saving you the hassle of having to go look for it. #justsayin
